What this covers

This policy covers exam-shuffle.com: the document you upload, the questions extracted from it, and the cookies set while you use the site.

Files you upload

The file you upload is read in memory and discarded once the questions have been extracted from it — the original is never written to disk. The extracted questions are kept for eight hours, so you have time to review and shuffle them, and are then deleted. There is no account and no login, and nothing about your document is shared. A scanned document with no text layer cannot be read, so there is nothing to extract or retain in that case.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors may set cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and others. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings. How Google uses cookies in advertising is covered by its own advertising policies.

Analytics

This site runs no analytics product of its own. Nothing here tracks which pages you visit, how long you stay, or what you click.

Rate limiting

When you upload a file, your browser contacts this site's API, which receives your IP address the way any web server does. It is used to rate-limit requests — to stop one source overwhelming the service — and is held in memory for that purpose only, not stored in a database or used to build a profile. It is not combined with your document or used to identify you.

Your choices

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies at any time, from its own settings. For advertising cookies specifically, Google's Ads Settings is the more direct route.
